Hi! I’m Amanda, and welcome to my travel page, The Art of Smart Travel! I’m a mom of two, an economics professor, a volunteer Odyssey of the Mind coach, and an avid traveler! I’ve cruised about a dozen times on 6 different cruise lines and visited 28 countries (some on cruises, others not!). I spent a couple weeks in Japan, admired architecture in Prague, cruised Alaska twice, and watched as ships progressed through the Panama Canal. As my kids age, I cannot wait to continue expanding my horizon and theirs! The bucket list is long, but I look forward to getting through the list!

What separates me from others? Probably my keen ability to find a good deal. As a trained economist, I understand the value of money, whether it’s mine or yours. I am not looking to make this a full-time career, but planning vacations has become a hobby. You can find almost everything you need online nowadays, but booking with me gives you an ally – someone to save you lots of time and help find the answers you need – but also someone who will look to save you money in the process! It’s not always about a cheap vacation; it’s about getting you the vacation you desire at the best price possible.

There are so many things I’ve learned the last few years – ways to save money or tips to make your experience more enjoyable. I just hope to share this knowledge with the few people whom I serve.
